So. If you gave your parents a dollar each then your debt would only be $98
$97(the shirt) + $1(the one you took) = $98, actually you just owe each $49
each parent paid half of it which is $48.5, but you took $1 from the $3
Then if you give each $0.05. then it will be $49.
